Things like adjusting offset of the wheel itself separately on front and rear, selecting different wheels at each end, different colors for each wheel, and aero disc covers only on front or back. And maybe some more customization for wheels. More wide body kits or unique/racing style kits on cars. A map 2 or 3 times as large while maintaining the same quality would be awesome. Beyond that it's all just wanting "more". I just want more stuff like that to do with friends and feel like we're really inhabiting the game world. Hell, in TDU2(maybe in TDU1 as well, I can't quite remember) you could hop in the passenger seat of your friend's car and go for a ride. Physical dealerships to walk around and buy cars would be sweet too, like PGR2 and again the TDU games. I'd also kill for a physical garage or garages to walk around and inspect our cars in, like we used to have in TDU and PGR games. For instance the houses in the game should actually be explorable and customizable. I'd also like to see some more social aspects, perhaps taking a queue from the old TDUs.
Some of the "tracks" in the game are quite good and I feel like they don't put enough focus on them. At this point I've seen almost every nook and cranny on the whole map and I want that feeling of exploring a fresh map again.Īs for features I'd like to see probably one of the biggest is the addition of some actual racing lobbies like we had in FH1. Don't get me wrong, I love FH4's map and think it's the best yet for the quality and variety of roads, but a large part of the fun of open world games is the exploration itself. Hell, I'd pay good money just to get a sizable map expansion in the current game.
So you can put me in the camp that will be happy just to get another Horizon game on a fresh map. It's been over 2 years since release and I'm still playing it more than any other game in my library, so that's saying something. For reference I've been a Forza player since day 1, Forza 1, and I've put hundreds of hours at least into every Forza game ever released on console, and I think it honestly may be the best Forza game ever. Honestly I think FH4 is a masterpiece and simply one of the best games I've ever played. If Forza Horizon 5 comes out and it's just another new map and more of the same things to do, people aren't going to be happy, but what else can Turn 10/PG do with a game about driving cars? I think this is a fundamental challenge racing games face in trying to capture a big audience, especially with younger gamers who are used to getting fresh new content all the time. Having ray tracing isn't going to make it a new experience.
FORZA HORIZON 4 UPDATE 5 HOW TO
They are trying to figure out how to make a new experience out of something that is basically going to be a retread - a lot of the same tracks and cars you've already driven will inevitably be in that game. I also think this is why the new Forza Motorsport game is taking forever. This constant need for *FRESH CONTENT* isn't really sustainable when the core loop of a game is driving cars. are people are expecting too much out of what is essentially a driving/racing game? You build and tune cars and race them, you either enjoy doing this or you don't. how will that game not feel stale to returning players? I'm curious what kind of features or game modes a Forza Horizon game could have that would make it feel not like "more of the same just with a new map" ?ĭon't get me wrong, there are features and modes that Horizon 4 could definitely improve on. People have actually been saying this since it launched, that its more of the same as other Horizon's just with a new map. I see a lot of people complaining that Forza Horizon 4 is a stale game.
